Daffodils

9 Patch Variation  This wall quilt is made of  patches cut from vintage fabrics that were then re-cut twice.   It's fun to play with 9 patches and I'm developing a class and hand outs by that name.

I wish I had a better picture of this quilt.  It was inspired by a photograph in Martha Stewart Living and a joy to make.   The leaf fronds are couched with Fun Fur yarn.   Microorganisms are quilted in the "soil".

Seed Song is a spring quilt made in celebration of planning orders from seed catalogs on cold January days when one is thinking of wonderful gardens to be.

Circles is a bed sized quilt easily made with the free cut piecing method.

A traditional nine patch made with free cut piecing

A close up of Windows into Windows, a non traditional nine patch.   I love to play with nine patches.   I started out with large blocks an kept slicing them apart, inserting strips and switching the outside pieces I'd cut off.  Sometimes things come altogether!   I love to work this way.
